Basic Principles of Yoga is a session on yoga philosophy, understanding the purpose of yoga and how to “think like a yogi” through the use of yoga terminology.
The training puts emphasis on learning about yoga techniques and structure of asanas with an emphasis on how to teach asana.
The program has a mixture of theory and practice.
Asana includes all about poses, energy flow, alignment, breathing techniques and more.
3. How is the Yoga teacher training in Rishikesh structured?
The yoga teacher training course in Rishikesh is highly structured with classes twice a day for 30 days .
We have the schedule planned so that each student completing this course becomes a professional Yoga Teacher.
The program starts with 4 days on Philosophy of Yoga.
We dive deep into the meaning of yoga and its purpose . We explain various types of yoga, the different parts of Yogic teachings, what is Ashtanga yoga, what is Hatha yoga and how does it differ from other forms.
On day 5 we start with Asana. The students will learn a series of poses in a sequence that follows an unique sequence to ensure flow and focus throughout the class.
On day 6 we cover Pranayama which includes breath techniques, chanting techniques to create awareness in your body followed by meditation session(s).
Personal attention is given to each student during training . It is important that there is an element of personal attachment.
